Symptoms

Transmission
TB spreads through the air when someone with TB coughs, sneezes, or spits.
How it's diagnosed
TB is diagnosed with a skin or blood test, X-ray, or sputum test.
How it's treated
TB is usually treated with antibiotics.
Who's at risk ?
People with lung issues, such as COPD or emphysema, are more vulnerable to TB.
Is it fatal ?
TB can be fatal without treatment, but it's rarely fatal in the United Kingdom.
