This service is a free NHS consultation from your Pharmacist, who will check your blood pressure and advise you on healthy lifestyle changes. They will also check your pulse. If your Pharmacist finds that your blood pressure is raised, they will offer a more detailed blood pressure assessment. This involves wearing a blood pressure monitor (which they will lend you and show you how to use) for 24 hours. This will help to assess blood pressure fluctuations throughout the day and night. These machines are worn on the arm or waist and automatically measure blood pressure at set intervals, providing a comprehensive view of a person's blood pressure patterns. If your blood pressure is extremely high, your Pharmacist will advise you to see your GP .
